LinkedIn To Roll out Premium Company Page Subscriptions
Business and employment social media platform LinkedIn is testing a Premium Company Page subscription available to company page super admins for $99 per month or at a discounted rate of $839.88 for an annual commitment.
LinkedIn has already set up a page for the new product that states it will become “gradually” available. The premium subscription includes tools to “stand out and convert more LinkedIn members into clients.”
The features include a custom call-to-action (CTA) button displayed at the top of the Page, next to Page posts in the LinkedIn feed, and in search results. Similar to premium individual members, premium company subscribers will be able to see who has visited their page unless the visitor has turned off their privacy setting. Until now, companies could only see demographic overviews.
Admins can now also invite those visitors to follow their page, regardless of their degree of connection. Previously, this was only possible for first-degree connections. But with a Premium Company Page subscription, anyone who engages with the company content can receive an automatic invitation to follow. Companies can also feature client quotes or testimonials on their page.
As a Microsoft-owned company, LinkedIn continues to leverage OpenAI’s GPT technology. Its parent company is the biggest investor in the AI startup and has heavily incorporated ChatGPT across its products. LinkedIn has also been experimenting with AI and introduced multiple features for job seekers, including AI tools that can network, job search, and write letters to hiring managers.
Now LinkedIn is bringing the power of AI to the business side, offering AI post-writing assistance to company subscribers. Premium Company Page members will also get an icon next to their page’s header to signal that they’re premium members.
LinkedIn’s decision to introduce a premium membership for companies comes after its Premium user subscriptions grew 25% year-over-year to $1.7 billion in 2023. Out of the $15 billion the company made last year, its recruiting business accounted for $7 billion.
Brands have been looking for more reliable alternatives, and it seems that LinkedIn has been the first option in line. The Premium Company Page subscription is one way for the company to capitalize on the opportunity.
