Hostinger Shuts Down Zyro
Web hosting provider Hostinger has announced it is slowly shutting down Zyro as a standalone product to focus on its Hostinger Website Builder. This closure comes as a direct response to Hostinger’s efforts to bring everything under the Hostinger ecosystem as one brand name.
“We’re excited to announce that we’ve introduced Zyro into the Hostinger ecosystem and renamed it as Hostinger Website Builder,” reads the company’s recent blog post. “It’s beginner-friendly – perfect for anyone with minimal technical experience who wants to bring their website to life.”
Zyro launched in 2019 as a subsidiary of Hostinger, targeting small- to medium-sized businesses. Now rebranded as the Hostinger Website Builder, the platform is currently available through a comprehensive plan that combines Hostinger’s popular web hosting service with its eponymous website builder.
While Hostinger will refrain from any further marketing efforts related to Zyro, the hosting company states that existing customers can continue to use Zyro as usual. New customers will also be able to sign up for Zyro to build their websites.
Zyro’s plans will continue to offer essentials like SSL certificates, a free domain name for a year with annual subscriptions, and free business emails. Both builders also feature e-commerce functionality, although the Hostinger Website Builder provides this at a slightly lower price.
“Small business owners have a lot on their plate,” Hostinger’s recent blog points out. “Our smart AI tools are here to relieve some of your tasks.” As a result, one of Hostinger’s biggest innovations – content-generating AI technology – will be available to all its website builder subscribers. Users can take advantage of an AI logo maker, AI content writer, and AI heatmap technology to improve website content.
