Fiverr Launches First-Ever Nonprofit Hub

Freelance platform Fiverr launched its first nonprofit hub, Fiverr for Nonprofits. The hub offers nonprofits discounts on services, access to specialized freelance talent, and practical resources to support their growth.

Data from Fiverr shows that in 2024, freelancers on the platform fulfilled 127,000 orders for 35,000 nonprofit clients. Fiverr created this hub to address the sector’s evolving needs.

Registered nonprofit organizations receive $50 in Fiverr credits and an additional $50 for every $500 spent on Fiverr. Nonprofit clients also get discounts on platforms like Adobe and WordPress.

Fiverr for Nonprofits provides access to vetted freelance talent with direct experience in the nonprofit sector. Nonprofits with Pro accounts receive personalized freelancer recommendations.

The hub also includes a resource library offering articles, guides, and toolkits on topics ranging from starting a 501(c)(3) to fundraising tools and social media strategies.

After launching the hub, Fiverr released “Unlocking Nonprofit Potential with Freelance Talent,” a report highlighting workforce challenges in the nonprofit sector.

According to the report, 99% of surveyed nonprofit leaders said hiring the wrong full-time employee risks productivity, reputation, morale, and mission alignment. Over half of NGO leaders reported regular employee burnout.

Fiverr found that freelancers help nonprofits handle new demands and unexpected challenges. Respondents cited specialized skills, fresh perspectives, cost-effectiveness, and faster turnaround times as key benefits. Nonprofits often hire freelancers for web development, voice-overs, AI-related services, community outreach, and program evaluation.

About 80% of leaders who worked with freelancers saw positive impacts on capacity, client satisfaction, adaptability, and team morale.

“By leveraging Fiverr’s new Nonprofit Hub, any leader worldwide can gain insights from data and skilled freelancers to build resilient organizations ready for long-term success,” said Micha Kaufman, Fiverr’s founder and CEO.
