Brevo Launches New MMS Service
Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, recently launched a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) service. Users can now add an image to text messages to improve how they engage with customers.
The MMS feature is available through the company’s SMS Campaigns to allow users to easily access the new feature. Campaigns are set up the same way as SMS campaigns. Once users finalize the text, they can then insert one image in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format.
Research shows that MMS messages have 300% more engagement with customers and prospects when compared to SMS messages. They have a 98% read rate and half of recipients are “more likely to visit a store upon receiving a text embedded with visual elements.” In particular, younger generations prefer text messages to emails or phone calls.
“With the freedom to choose from MMS and SMS, Brevo customers can now select the right channel for each interaction,” says VP of Product Marketing Michael Letschin.
However, he also warns that “as with all communication, some messages are better suited for a quick text, while others may require an email or phone call. Today’s consumers welcome these less formal methods of communication for quick order updates, flash sales, and new product alerts.” All MMS and SMS must adhere to US SMS Marketing Guidelines.
The new MMS service is only available in the US for users who have registered a toll-free number with Telenyx. Images have an 850 KB limit in size and each MMS will cost users 2.1 SMS credits to send. Only recipients in the US will receive the complete MMS, while other recipients will only receive the text part of the message.
Brevo offers CRM solutions for businesses of all sizes and today has more than 500,000 customers. It offers end-to-end and modular solutions for customer management to help businesses and nonprofits better engage with their customers.
