Building a successful online presence is paramount for all companies in modern times, and
Woww is a great solution that offers just that! Here is what Felix Norton, the Managing Director of Woww had to say about Woww as a company, the array of services they offer, and what are their plans for the near future.
Please present Woww to our audience
Woww is a WordPress-focused digital agency that helps businesses and individuals build and grow a successful online presence. We take a holistic approach to web design where we focus on all aspects of running an amazing WordPress website, this includes Hosting, SEO, E-commerce, Graphic Design, and forms of online marketing like PPC and Social Media.
We are based in South Africa but offer our services globally, offering a unique value proposition to international clients looking for a cost-effective solution that is in a European time zone with a native English team, while also charging extremely cost-effective design and development rates.
Please describe the story behind the company: What sparked the idea, and how has it evolved so far?
While studying computer science at university, I built the odd website as a side hustle for family and friends, eventually, I realized there was a highly underserved market looking for something in between your top-tier corporate marketing agencies and your average freelance web designer.
So I started Woww and slowly grew from a one-man-band to a team of 20 talented digital experts. Over time we’ve honed our craft and continue to improve and expand our services.
What services do you offer?
At our core, we focus on building WordPress websites, and then everything complementary to running and growing a successful website. This includes everything from hosting your website, building your brand’s corporate identity with graphic and logo design, to growing traffic through Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click advertising.
We put a lot of effort into continuous improvement and regularly update and expand our services to meet the ever-changing challenges of digital marketing.
Who are your typical customers, and what do you think is the main challenge that your product solves for them?
We work with businesses and individuals of all sizes as we have different tiers to cater towards different budgets, however, our ideal customer is a small-medium sized business that is already established but looking to grow. We help those types of businesses properly define and establish a strong online presence, getting them to the next level and beyond.
Which trends and technologies do you find to be particularly intriguing these days?
I’m extremely interested in the emerging opportunities provided by machine learning and natural language processing. I’ve been keeping a close eye on how tech like Open Ai’s GPT-3 will influence the digital marketing industry. A great example would be the automation of previously tedious tasks like writing product descriptions for eCommerce websites or summarizing web articles. It’s an extremely exciting time (but also kind of scary!), but I’m more of an optimist and look forward to leveraging these new tools to improve our products and processes to deliver better and more affordable digital services.
What are the plans for Woww for the near future?
Our current goal is to expand our international presence. We’ve kept the majority of our marketing efforts local while we built and stress-tested our service offering. We’re now ready to be more active in our marketing strategies and expand our reach to new audiences.
We’re also developing some exciting new services that will help our clients gain a greater competitive advantage and further improve their online presence.
