WEBii, founded in 1996, emerged from a desire to bridge a significant gap in customer service within the web hosting industry.
The company’s core mission, as shared with
Website Planet, revolves around helping businesses thrive by offering high-quality, customer-centric digital solutions. WEBii distinguishes itself with a strong focus on communication and custom web development, ensuring each client’s needs are met with precision and care.
From enhancing SEO to crafting intricate learning management systems, WEBii has consistently delivered measurable success for its clients.
What inspired the founding of WEBii and what is its core mission?
The founder of WEBii established the company in 1996 to fill an important customer service gap in the web hosting industry. He saw a need to improve the quality of service for small businesses. Today, our core mission remains customer-centric: We aim to help organizations and businesses succeed through high-quality and high-touch digital services.
How does WEBii support businesses in building and maintaining their online presence?
We like to be a good partner right from the start, bringing our insights into kick-off conversations and collaborating together on what the right web presence is for that business. We then help design the flow and the look and feel. Next, we build the functionality and thoroughly test it on multiple devices.
We are often working closely with a business’s marketing manager, and we coordinate with them to integrate content and provide website editor training. Our team provides a detailed launch plan and supports the client through that exciting launch process. For ongoing maintenance, we offer search engine optimization, website technical support, and software upgrades throughout the year.
What unique services or features set WEBii apart from other web development companies?
In terms of company culture, our focus is on communication. We know from customer feedback that our very responsive work style stands out in this industry. Our expertise also spans a lot of complex custom web development that many other providers cannot offer.
For example, our team has experience building custom learning management systems, reporting tools, and dashboards that are beyond the capabilities of a common WordPress dev shop.
Can you share a success story where WEBii significantly improved a client’s website performance?
Successes are my favorite part! After working with our company on its SEO, an education software business went from 9 to 20 top-ranked keywords and increased its non-paid search engine traffic by over 150%. More importantly, the conversions greatly improved. The number of user website interactions – such as downloads, trial requests, and forms – more than tripled.
Recently, another loyal client in a b-to-b technology field worked with us on a new website redesign and digital marketing strategy, and we learned that since the launch they have already beat last year’s website leads. We are so happy to hear that the second half of this year will outperform their projections.
How does WEBii ensure the quality and effectiveness of its web development solutions?
First, we listen and ask at the beginning of the project, so we create a good strategy that aligns with the client’s needs and preferences. Throughout a web development project, each client has a great team behind them – project management, design, web development, and quality testing.
Even though our agency is small, they are getting a sort of white glove service that guides them through each milestone and encourages them to that finish line. Depending on the nature of what we are building, there could be several rounds of agile testing and feedback. We are also cautious about the plugins or software we recommend and install, leaning on established proven vendors that we have worked with previously.
What new projects or services is WEBii planning to introduce?
There are some exciting projects in the works. Our web development team has been building a custom e-learning site that will serve a large community of young students. The app is very feature-rich on both the front end and the administration side, and we are excited to help the business launch its expansion. We are also working closely with a few organizations under The
University of Texas to help their teams improve existing website features that hundreds of students, staff, and engineers use. There are many more gears turning that we expect to announce later this year.
