Website Planet sat down with Marek, CEO of Wachete, a website monitoring software that helps businesses and individuals monitor and track changes to their websites, social media pages, and online listings.
We delve deeper into the features and benefits of the platform, as well as explore some of the most pressing issues facing businesses today in their industry.
What is Wachete and how does it work?
Wachete is a powerful web monitoring tool that allows you to keep track of changes, job offers, prices, and availability on any website or online platform of your choice.
Whether you are a job seeker looking for new opportunities, a business owner monitoring your competition, or simply someone who wants to stay informed about changes to your favorite websites, Wachete has got you covered. With its advanced features, Wachete is the ideal solution for anyone looking to stay ahead of the game in today’s fast-paced online world .
What sparked the idea, and what results have you reached so far?
One of the co-founders was buying an apartment and wanted to know when some developers will eventually drop the price and provide some discounted offer. There came the idea to have a tool which is able to detect change and notify the user.
So far we have almost 100 000 users around the world across all sectors. We did add plenty of features on the way during those couple of years which our users requested.
How does your mission differ from the other companies in your niche?
We try to offer the best price on the market for monitoring pages while keeping the same quality like others. We are way below the competitors average price because of the technologies we use, and ahe same time we put a lot of stress on simple use of our product and speed.
Who are your typical users and what problems do they have when they come to you?
Usually it is people monitoring stocks, goods or tickets availability on the portals. Then it is compliance companies or layers monitoring laws or privacy statements, or even system admins monitoring their webpage for possible attacks or malicious modifications.
And What makes them eventually choose you over your competitors?
I would say it is very responsive and individual customer service and cost which we can offer. Same time I think we have very good reliability and uptime.
What integrations and other tools are your customers using in combination with Wachete?
Some customers use our API which we provide to integrate into their systems. Some use RSS feed or integration via Zapier. The most popular are email notifications followed by usage on mobile phones via our applications.
How does your pricing model work, and why do you think it’s the best one for your users?
We charge per 1 monitored page and in general with larger subscriptions we also offer more frequent checks and some premium features like proxy servers usage and monitoring pages behind password.
Monitoring content of excel, PDFs, or word documents is also in our more expensive subscriptions. We can offer per request also an individual price to our customer.
Lastly, what do you see in the future of your industry, and how do you plan to cope?
Automation is the future and we believe that monitoring and scraping of data will be always needed. What I think will also distinguish good tools from the average is integration of AI to figure out which changes might be false positives and which might be relevant for the users to minimize noise.
