Can you give us a brief overview of Nami as a company? How was it founded?

Our journey began after we founded one of the pioneering companies in push notifications, Push IO. After selling Push IO to Oracle, we spent years integrating it into the Oracle Marketing Cloud, where we honed our ability to deliver cutting-edge technology at scale. During this time, we learned how to empower users with intuitive tools that minimize reliance on engineering teams.

This experience inspired Nami. We designed our platform to enable non-technical teams in product, growth, or marketing to manage all aspects of how their products are sold.

Want to change the design? No problem—no code required. Need to adjust pricing? A few clicks, and it’s live. Planning a promotion? Just schedule it.

All of this is achieved without consuming valuable development resources. Our customers can even run A/B or multivariate tests anywhere users encounter subscription plan options. It’s a game-changer, and customers consistently tell us that Nami pays for itself.

Who is your target audience?

Nami serves businesses in three primary categories: SaaS products, streaming services, and mobile application publishers.

Our customers range from solo entrepreneurs and small startups to publicly traded companies, providing tailored solutions for a diverse range of businesses.

What is the technology stack behind Nami?

Our technology stack is multi-layered:
  1. Backend: Built with API microservices using Python and Go, leveraging Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, and Cloudflare.
  2. Frontend: A React single-page application.
  3. Client SDKs: We offer modern SDKs across platforms:
  • Apple: Swift and SwiftUI
  • Android: Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Roku: BrightScript
  • Cross-Platform: Flutter, React Native, and Unity
  • Web: A TypeScript-based SDK, available as a script or bundled package
We strive to keep our SDKs modern, lightweight, and user-friendly to simplify integration into any customer experience.

What sets you apart from other subscription management platforms?

Nami stands out for its breadth of platform support. We’re the only solution that seamlessly works across mobile, web, and connected TV devices. This agility enables customers to make updates—such as pricing changes or marketing copy edits—without requiring code changes, across all purchasing channels.

More importantly, we’re not just another SaaS company. While others may point customers to documentation or forums for support, we take a hands-on approach. Every customer has direct access to our team, including my personal email and phone number.

We operate with a “white glove” approach, embedding with our customers through Slack and other tools to ensure their success. This human touch is a core part of what makes Nami unique.

Can you elaborate on the specific features you offer?

At the heart of Nami is Paywall Creator, a no-code design tool that enables customers to merchandise subscription and one-time purchase products effortlessly. To deliver personalized experiences, our Campaign module allows customers to manage which paywall screens users see based on various criteria. This empowers teams to:
  • Speak directly to specific user segments.
  • Run A/B or multivariate tests contextualized to where users encounter the paywall, enabling precise optimization without unintended trade-offs.
Our Analytics module provides detailed subscription and revenue reporting alongside conversion tracking for paywalls. This ensures customers can measure the impact of their experiments across revenue and behavior dimensions.

Additionally, our Customers module offers insights into buyers, even those purchasing indirectly through third-party stores like the App Store, Google Play, or Roku Pay. Customers can use this data to better understand their audience and sync it with their systems via webhooks.
