Can you share a few details about the founding story of Dubble and its mission?
Dubble started as a fun side project that I started building in early 2022 while running my primary business Paperform. I wasn’t particularly interested in starting a second business, but after I’d finished building a first version it seemed like a waste not to launch it. For the next year and a half or so, Dubble quietly grew in the background, with me occasionally doing support and adding a few new minor features. In April 2024, we could see that Dubble had real opportunity, but needed some attention to match it, so we acquired Dubble into Paperform. A few months later and Dubble is growing around 10% month-on-month, and we’re excited for what’s to come. The core mission of Dubble is to enable teams to share knowledge without the burden of creating and maintaining quickly stale documentation. What specific features do you offer?
The core value of Dubble is that it allows you to generate documentation for your processes and software without writing, taking screenshots, or editing videos. You simply click record, do your thing, and Dubble does the rest. This is an epic improvement for anyone who has to educate their users, employees, clients, or customers, where traditionally they’d either have to teach them in person or create documentation manually by typing, taking, and annotating screenshots and then continuiously working to keep them up to date. Dubble stands apart from similar tools by also providing screen recordings so that your viewers can learn from your documentation in the way that works best for them. What different pricing plans do you offer and what are the differences between them?
Dubble offers a freemium model, with a free tier that allows you to record as many guides as you want, with unlimited private viewers. The Pro tier allows you to customise your guides with your brand, and invite your team to collaborate on documentation together, screen recordings, and API access. Dubble also offers an Enterprise plan for teams with more complex permissioning, multiple teams, compliance, and security features. Can we expect any new features or other projects from the company in the near future?
One of the most requested features from Dubble users is the ability to record processes outside of the browser, and we’re working hard to make that a reality. We want Dubble to be able to document any process you have on your device, whether it’s a native app, a system setting, or a webapp. To learn more about Dubble, you can visit dubble.so
