What is the story behind Digital Drew SEM? How was it founded?
My family often jokes that I was a born entrepreneur. While other kids were busy playing racing or sports video games, I was engrossed in tycoon business simulation games, fascinated by the idea of building and managing my own empire—even if it was digital. My entrepreneurial journey started young: I ran lemonade stands with strategic pricing models and organized a babysitting service in the neighborhood. The thrill of business always fueled me, even as a kid. Fast forward to my college years, I graduated from West Chester University and soon found myself working with some of the largest advertising agencies in the world. It felt like a dream at first—working with big brands and managing large-scale campaigns. But it didn’t take long for the excitement to fizzle out. My creativity and sense of freedom were stifled, and the endless layers of bureaucracy made it hard to bring my fresh ideas to life. I felt like a cog in the machine. So, I did what any entrepreneur at heart would do: I broke away. Determined to build something of my own, I founded Digital Drew SEM. The goal was simple but powerful: to make digital marketing accessible and effective for businesses of all sizes, without the red tape and inefficiencies of traditional agencies. This isn’t just a business for me; it’s my calling. Every day, I’m driven by the excitement of helping companies achieve their goals through search engine marketing and innovation. At Digital Drew SEM, we’re all about combining data with creativity, and nothing makes me happier than seeing our clients thrive. What different advertisement services do you offer, and what is the difference in your approach to them, for example, between Facebook advertising and Instagram advertising?
We offer a full suite of digital advertising services—think Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram advertising, LinkedIn ads, and TikTok marketing. But here’s the thing: each platform has its own “personality,” and we approach them differently. Let’s take Facebook and Instagram, for example. Both platforms fall under the Meta umbrella, but they serve very different vibes. Facebook is where people go to catch up with friends, read news articles, or join interest-based groups. It’s more community-driven and text-friendly, which means our ad strategy on Facebook often focuses on longer-form content, a strong call to action, and a bit of storytelling. Instagram, on the other hand, is a visual playground. People are there to be inspired, entertained, or wowed by gorgeous photos and catchy Reels. Our Instagram ads are heavy on eye-catching visuals, sleek design, and short, punchy copy that stops the endless scroll. We also play around with different formats, like Stories and carousel ads, to keep things dynamic. In short, our approach to advertising isn’t one-size-fits-all. We tailor every campaign to the nuances of the platform and, most importantly, the behavior of the target audience on that platform. Because, let’s face it, you wouldn’t serve a steak dinner to someone craving dessert, right? You have to serve the right “content meal” to the right person in the right place. You also offer white label services. What can you tell me about that part of your work?
Ah, our white label services—think of it as the behind-the-scenes magic that makes other marketing agencies look even better. Essentially, we partner with agencies that may not have the in-house resources or expertise to offer digital advertising but want to provide those services to their clients. So, we step in and run those campaigns for them, but under their brand name. What makes our white label work so rewarding is the collaboration. We work hand-in-hand with our partner agencies to make sure their clients are getting top-notch service, whether it’s SEO, PPC, or social media ads. We keep everything transparent, provide detailed reports, and make sure the campaigns are optimized to drive the best results. It’s a win-win: the agency gets to offer a broader range of services, and we get the satisfaction of making a bigger impact without the need for extra fanfare. What other services do you offer?
Apart from the digital advertising, we also offer many other services. One of our key offerings is SEO (Search Engine Optimization). We help businesses optimize their websites so that they show up in search engine results. We’re talking about everything from keyword research and content optimization to building backlinks and enhancing site speed. We also offer social media management, where we handle everything from content creation to community engagement. This service is great for businesses that want to maintain a strong social media presence but don’t have the time or bandwidth to manage it themselves. And if email marketing is more your thing, we run strategic email campaigns to keep audiences engaged and drive conversions. Another popular service is website development and landing page design. Often, the success of a paid ad depends on what happens after someone clicks, so we design websites and landing pages that are optimized for conversions—whether that’s collecting email sign-ups or driving product sales. Basically, our goal is to ensure that every part of the digital funnel is working in harmony to drive results. What software do you use in your work?
We’re big fans of using the right tools to get the job done efficiently and effectively. For project management, we use Asana to keep everything organized and ensure we’re meeting our clients’ deadlines. Communication? That’s all on Slack, where we keep our team and clients connected in real-time. For SEO and competitive analysis, we rely heavily on SEMrush and Ahrefs. These tools help us with keyword research, backlink tracking, and analyzing what the competition is doing. Keyword Finder is another gem we use for those long-tail keyword strategies. On the creative side, we mix it up with Canva for quick designs and Adobe Photoshop for more complex projects. Our email marketing efforts are powered by platforms like Mailchimp and Klaviyo, depending on the client’s needs. For CRM and lead management, HubSpot and Zoho are our go-to choices. What’s great about these tools is that they allow us to work smarter, not harder. They streamline our processes, keep data accessible, and give us the insights we need to continually optimize our campaigns. And, honestly, they also save me from pulling my hair out when juggling multiple projects—so, yes, a huge shout-out to tech!Is there anything else about your work that you’d like to share that we haven’t covered?
