Can you please introduce yourself to our audience and share a few details about your company, Creattie?
Creattie was born out of frustration. As a design studio with over 13 years of experience, we struggled to find a stock design platform that consistently offered high-quality items. Even when we stumbled upon a great design, finding assets to maintain consistency across projects was nearly impossible. Stock websites typically provide standalone designs or, at best, small collections of 10-12 items—hardly sufficient for building cohesive designs for larger projects. We decided to survey designers to better understand their pain points. Their biggest frustration echoed ours: a lack of high-quality, consistent designs that made it challenging to deliver professional, polished work. So, we took matters into our own hands and built Creattie—a platform designed to solve these problems once and for all. What is Creattie, and who is it designed for?
Creattie is a carefully curated design library featuring Lottie animations, animated icons, and vector illustrations. We’ve taken the time to identify the needs of major industries and created expansive collections—some with up to 4,000 items in a single style. This makes it possible for designers to tackle even the largest projects while maintaining a consistent aesthetic. What sets us apart is the inclusion of JSON animations, also known as Lottie animations. These bring motion to static designs, helping users elevate their projects to the next level with minimal effort. Creattie was designed for professional designers, marketers, and anyone looking to produce high-quality, visually cohesive work efficiently. What are the advantages and benefits of Lottie animations as a cutting-edge JSON-based format compared to other formats?
Lottie, a lightweight and vector-based animation format introduced by Airbnb, is revolutionizing design. Unlike traditional formats, it allows designers to add animations to websites, apps, or any project without compromising performance. One of its standout features is its simplicity. Lottie files are incredibly lightweight and easy to edit—even for those with no animation skills. With Creattie’s Lottie Editor, users can adjust colors, animation speed, and interactions like hover effects with just a few clicks. For icons, options like stroke width adjustments give designers even more control. But that’s not all. With our editor, Lottie animations can also be converted into MP4 or GIF formats, making them perfect for marketers who need versatile assets for social media, ads, and more. This flexibility ensures brand consistency across all channels—websites, blogs, social media, and beyond. When a brand lacks design consistency, it risks diluting its message and losing the connection with its audience. Creattie ensures that doesn’t happen. What sets Creattie apart from its competitors?
Creattie stands out as the only platform offering expansive design collections with over 400 items in a single style. This ensures that designers can create cohesive and professional projects, no matter the scale. Additionally, our strict quality control means every item is carefully curated, with no compromises on quality. We take pride in featuring only premium designs that meet the highest standards. Another key differentiator is exclusivity. While platforms like Shutterstock often feature overlapping items available elsewhere, Creattie’s Lottie animations are exclusively available on our platform, making us the go-to source for unique motion assets. On top of this, our pricing model is incredibly competitive. We offer flexible yearly plans starting at just $4 per month, granting access to our entire library of animations and illustrations. This affordability, paired with our unparalleled quality, sets us apart from major players like Shutterstock and Adobe. Lastly, our flexible licensing terms are another game-changer, ensuring designers can use our assets across projects without unnecessary restrictions. Can you elaborate on the licensing terms for using Creattie’s animations in commercial projects? Are there any restrictions or limitations?
Creattie’s licensing terms are designed with flexibility and ease in mind. When you download an item from Creattie, you receive a lifetime license that allows you to use it across all platforms—including commercial projects for your clients. Unlike other platforms, we impose no limits on platform size, monthly views, or usage volume. This means you can confidently use our animations and illustrations for websites, apps, social media campaigns, and more, without worrying about hidden restrictions. Our straightforward licensing gives you the freedom to focus on your projects, knowing you’re fully coveredWhat kind of feedback has Creattie received so far?
The reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Creattie has been embraced by designers, marketers, content creators, and solo entrepreneurs alike. In nearly 100% of cases, we’ve received 5-star reviews. Users consistently tell us they feel like someone finally understands their design challenges—and, more importantly, has addressed them effectively. We’re committed to staying connected with our users, regularly gathering feedback to improve and innovate. Right now, we’re working on some exciting new features that will make their experience even better and help them accomplish more with less effort. This is great, but don’t you think AI will eventually dominate this space?
Honestly, I think the opposite—AI will make Creattie even more valuable. Let me explain why. First, AI isn’t free. Most subscriptions cost $15–25 per month, which is significantly more than what we offer. Second, AI currently doesn’t generate vectors or Lottie animations, which are our core focus. While AI might be able to create a single asset, achieving a good result often requires expertise in prompt engineering and can take 30 minutes or more. With Creattie, you can access hundreds of high-quality items instantly, without the trial-and-error process. Moreover, using AI effectively still requires design skills to judge whether the output is usable. And let’s not forget that AI outputs tend to be repetitive—often providing similar results to multiple users, which can limit originality and creativity. While AI is a fantastic tool for content writing and other tasks, even there, the results often fall short, especially if you’re not a professional. To clarify, we’re excited about AI and its potential. We see it as a tool to help professionals work faster, not as a replacement for expertise. AI and platforms like Creattie can coexist, each playing to their strengths. In fact, we believe AI will highlight the value of curated, high-quality design solutions like ours even more. What’s next for Creattie?
Our mission is simple: to make high-quality design accessible to everyone, regardless of their skill level. We want people who aren’t professional designers to achieve professional results effortlessly. We’re constantly exploring new solutions to address these challenges, but we’re careful not to overcomplicate things. Instead of bombarding users with too many advanced, niche features, we focus on simplicity and usability—ensuring anyone can create remarkable and professional results without feeling overwhelmed. Our philosophy is heavily inspired by Apple: we design tools that are easy to use yet incredibly powerful.
