A/B Testing is an excellent way to compare content, designs, buttons and have data to prove points and take the best decisions. But implement it on your website is not very easy.
ABtesting.ai tries to change that with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Check out our conversation with Franco Gobbo, Co-Founder & COO of ABtesting.ai to know more about the tool.
Please present your company to our audience.
Our company is called ABtesting.ai and our objective is to make A/B testing and conversion rate optimization for landing pages as easy as possible. Our tool uses AI to create, combine and test different variations of headlines, copies, calls to action and images, to find the best fit for your audience, increasing conversions and reducing costs.
Can you explain the importance of AB Testing for starters in the websites’ world?
It is very simple, really.
You have to understand that your website is like the Sun of your digital system: it is the place where you convert users to customers. They arrive from social media, works in SEO and engine marketing. So, you’d like to have your website as optimized for conversions as possible, to make the most gains out of the visits you get.
How do you use AI to power your tool?
It is our key to make A/B testing fast en easy. We use it on every step of the setup: The first moment that we use it is when fetching the user’s site. The first step is to insert the URL for the landing page into our program. The main elements that have an impact on conversion rate are all automatically fetched.
Then, the second step is to set up all variations to test. In this specific step, the implementation of AI is mainly with text suggestions by using GPT-3, which is the most powerful tool for automatic text creation, and part of Open AI’s project.
Our tool also automatically fetches your conversion event, such as a contact form or buttons. This the third step and a very important one, because it is what is measured to define the performance of the variations.
Then, the fourth step is integrating it to your website, and, just like that, you have your first experiment running.
We create all the variants by doing HTML changes to the site. This way, the user doesn’t have to do any design work.
Then we test them against each other, by allocating the traffic automatically. For this, we use a Multi-armed Bandit approach, which means that our AI is capable of quickly understanding which variation works better than the others and starts driving more traffic to it. This is a huge advantage to traditional A/B testing, because the test takes less time to be complete, and you don’t lose conversions while testing.
Do you have integrations with site builders and other platforms?
For our tool to work, you have to be able to place our snippet in thepart of your landing page. We have plugins for WordPress, WIX that take care of everything. For all the other main builders we have a step-by-step guide on how to set it up. It shouldn’t take more than two minutes for real beginners.
Currently, page speed is a rather important parameter for SEO. How does AB Testing affect page speed?
We made sure to follow the Best practices for website testing with Google Search really closely when developing everything; because we know how important it is to have an optimized website for SEO purposes. Our snippet is really small. Its size is less than 1KB and will not have any impact on your site’s performance.
What are AB Testing’s plans for 2021 and the future?
For 2021 our main goal is to make a very strong branding campaign. We believe we have a solid product and want to make it known in our market this year. It will be difficult to beat all the big names out there, but we think we have a very unique value proposition that solves some unsolved needs of a specific target.
And, for the future? Well, the sky is the limit, right?
We are going to be featured in Collision, which is “North America’s fastest-growing tech conference”. If you are interested in us, we are expecting to meet you there!
