This week,
Website Planet had the opportunity to interview Ibrahim Cisse, CEO and Founder of Ibraci Links, whose mission is to reinvent the cloud in the African way by making it simple for them and adapting to the African reality. We discussed how the company evolved, what services it offers, and how it envisions the future of the industry.
Please present Ibraci Links to our audience.
Ibraci Links is a web hosting company based in Bamako, Mali. We are making web hosting simple, easy, and accessible for African developers. Our approach is different from most web hosting companies outside Africa. We’re more close to them, speak the same language while making support, and our customers don’t have to hold a debit or credit card. We aim to help our customers take their first step to growing businesses through technology. The African market is being neglected by the giants of the sector, especially the French-speaking ones, we position ourselves in this market while bringing reliable and secure solutions to their needs. We are reinventing the industry to better serve our target market.
Please describe the story behind the company: What sparked the idea, and how has it evolved so far?
When I was creating this business, the main problems I wanted to solve were:
- Make accessible the web hosting and domain name to Africans by giving them the ability to pay using mobile money;
- Provide the best customer support;
Once we get started, we figured out that there are so many things to be done in Web Hosting & Cloud Computing for Africa. We’re now to make Web Hosting & Cloud Computing easy to use for to target market.

Our mission is to reinvent the cloud in the African way by making it simple for them and adapting to the African reality.
What is unique about Ibraci Links?
At Ibraci Links, we are doing customer support differently, we speak the same language with our customers. As most Africans don’t have a bank account, we’re giving them the ability to purchase using mobile money.
How do you envision the future of your industry?
Our target market is Africa. I can say that the big cloud companies don’t have Africa in the perspective, or they are not doing things we need in Africa.
