Hosting Raja Has More WordPress Plans, but HostPapa Is Cheaper
Hosting Raja has three shared, two VPS, and one dedicated server WordPress hosting plans. HostPapa offers three WordPress hosting plans on shared servers. With both hosts, you can choose to subscribe annually, biennially, or triennially. At first glance, Hosting Raja’s prices look cheaper, but you end up paying more at checkout, especially when you purchase a new domain name with your package. Although you get a free domain with Hosting Raja’s premium web hosting plans. HostPapa Web Hosting

HostPapa Can’t Beat Hosting Raja’s Shared and Fully Managed VPS WordPress Hosting
HostPapa only offers unmanaged WordPress hosting on shared servers. With Hosting Raja, all WordPress hosting plans are fully managed, and you can choose to host your WordPress site on shared, VPS, or dedicated servers. Both hosts provide a boatload of features, such as a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate, SSD storage, unlimited bandwidth, free WordPress setup, and free Cloudflare CDN. They also offer automatic daily backups with the highest plans. HostPapa has a free premium Wildcard SSL certificate, domain privacy, and JetPack Premium with its highest WordPress hosting plan. The lower-value plans come with pre-installed JetPack Free. Hosting Raja comes with unlimited disk space, while HostPapa offers 100 GB with its smallest packages and unlimited disk space with its medium and large packages. You get unlimited email accounts with all HostPapa’s plans, but from 10 to 30 email accounts with Hosting Raja.Hosting Raja | HostPapa | |

3. Performance
HostPapa Has Much Better Uptime and Faster Loading Speeds
Hosting Raja promises the industry standard 99.9% uptime guarantee. When I tested it using Uptime Robot, it scored an uptime of 99.406% in 30 days and overall actual uptime of 99.623% over two months. That said, you can also expect to experience lots of downtimes with Hosting Raja. Since Hosting Raja’s data center is located in India and targets Indian users, I believe it’s only fair to judge its servers’ loading speeds in India. Using Sucuri, Hosting Raja scored a disappointing D. Nevertheless, the loading speeds from India weren’t bad, but not great either. For the final performance test using GTMetrix, to my disappointment, Hosting Raja scored a D at 67% even though the test server location was in India. HostPapa promises a 99.9% uptime guarantee but showed an actual uptime of 99.999% over two months and a perfect 100% in the first 30 days on Uptime Robot. Since HostPapa targets customers in North America (mainly Canada), its servers are located in the U.S.A and Canada. Unfortunately, most servers in other locations than the U.S.A and Canada refused to connect when I used Sucuri to test its page loading speeds, resulting in an inconclusive F. Finally, I tested HostPapa’s performance with GTMetrix, and it scored a B at 85%. Even though this isn’t a perfect score, it’s still much better than Hosting Raja. HostPapa wins the performance challenge due to its test results for uptime and loading speed.4. Security
Hosting Raja Is Good, but HostPapa Offers More Free Security Features
Hosting Raja includes real-time malware injection scans, WP PHP vulnerability checks, the Jetpack Basic Plugin, Bullet-Proof MD5 checksum security, and CSF Firewall with all its plans. However, if you want malware removal and hack repair, you’ll need to get the Gold or Platinum plans. Automatic daily backups are also only available with the Platinum plan. On the other hand, HostPapa secures all its servers (all plans) with server firewall, monitoring and intrusion detection, DDoS protection, network monitoring, Brute-Force protection, and much more. All servers run on CloudLinux OS, which securely isolates each account on the same server to protect it against unwanted external threats targeting others. It also allocates the server resources fairly. HostPapa offers more default security features with its plans making it the winner of this round.5. Support
HostPapa’s Website is More Organized and Easier to Navigate
Even though Hosting Raja’s website is informative, it’s very disorganized and confusing. It also doesn’t have a knowledgebase. Instead, it has a limited FAQ section at the bottom of each page covering a few basic topics. Hosting Raja’s support is available via phone, live chat, and ticket. I tested both the live chat and ticket channels. I got connected with a live chat representative instantly, and they answered all my questions right away. On the other hand, I received a reply to my ticket within 20 minutes. HostPapa has an informative and well-organized website with a comprehensive knowledgebase covering the most important topics. It also has a blog with several useful articles. Its support is available 24/7 (in English, French, German, and Spanish) via phone, live chat, email, and ticket. Like Hosting Raja, I instantly connected to a live chat representative who promptly answered all my questions. The ticket support, unfortunately, wasn’t as responsive, with a reply coming after three hours. Both hosts have responsive customer support, but HostPapa’s website and knowledgebase are better organized, and it has a wider range of communication channels.HostPapa Dominated This Battle
Without a doubt, both Hosting Raja and HostPapa stand out as solid choices for budget hosting. Hosting Raja possesses an edge over HostPapa due to its wider array of hosting plans and its offering of fully managed WordPress hosting. Nevertheless, HostPapa outperformed Hosting Raja in four out of five categories, thereby securing the title of the victor. Hosting Raja and HostPapa aren’t what you’re looking for?
