1. Plans and Pricing
A wide range of hosting plans that deliver better value for money give Hostinger the advantage
With Hostinger, you’ll get shared, WordPress, and email hosting along with VPS and cloud hosting. As its name suggests, 2FreeHosting offers a free hosting plan along with a Premium unlimited hosting plan. However, I was unable to sign up for either as the captcha refused to be displayed. 2FreeHosting’s free plan costs nothing (yes, there are no fine prints!) and has better resource allocations that Hostinger’s cheapest shared plan. Even its Premium plan is cheaper than Hostinger’s Premium plan. If you’re not ready for a long-term commitment, Hostinger would be a costly option. Its cheapest rates are offered with the longest term (quadrennial) but its monthly rates are much steeper (almost 10X for the cheapest starting plan). Despite losing out on the price battle, Hostinger does offer more value for money, which makes it a better choice if the price isn’t your only selection criteria. Hostinger Web Hosting

Hostinger’s better features win the day
Hostinger’s shared plans come with CloudLinux operating system, custom-developed hPanel, LSCache, gradually increasing memory and processing power (1X-4X), solid state drives (SSDs), free SSL certificate, a free domain (with the annual term of premium/business plans), daily/weekly data backups, PHP v5.2-v7.4 support, 1-click auto-installer with 100+ apps, SSH access (with 2 higher plans), and a website builder (free for 1 month), to name a few. Freebie lovers will have a great day with 2FreeHosting as the free plan gives you several freebies like 5 subdomains and parked domains, instant setup, web file manager, weekly website backups, Fantastico auto-installer, and a website builder. The Premium plan additionally offers unlimited domains, the Zyro website builder, 100+ scripts with Fantastico, 5x faster servers, and web SSH access. Both these plans come with 2FreeHosting cPanel. 3. Performance
Hostinger outshines 2FreeHostingwith its performance-enhancing features and multiple datacenters
Hostinger’s globally connected Tier-3 datacenters across 7 different regions have data redundancy and let your customers enjoy the lowest possible latency and high reliability. But your choices are limited with 2FreeHosting’s U.S.-based datacenter. Hostinger also uses multiple performance-enhancing features like Cloudflare CDN, SSDs, LSCache plugins, dual uplinks with multiple ISPs, and GZIP compression. 2FreeHosting uses Zend Optimizer to significantly improve the performance of PHP applications. Though it also says its servers for the Premium plan are 5X faster, it doesn’t mention the underlying technology, which makes the claim appear somewhat hollow.
Hostinger offers a 99.9% uptime guarantee (backed by a 5% credit). Its loading speeds and uptime were excellent when I tested it. You can check the details at this in-depth Hostinger review.
2FreeHosting offers 99.9% and 99.99% uptime for its Free and Premium plan respectively. Its performance was good when I tested it. You can know more about this provider at this expert 2FreeHosting review.
Better performance and the use of multiple performance-enhancing features help Hostinger win this round.
4. Security
Hostinger’s advanced features take your website security seriously while 2FreeHosting holds it ransom with basic security
Hostinger gives adequate confidence to a security-conscious customer like me by using extensive security measures. These include LVE containers, RAID-10, CDN, SSL certificate, weekly/daily backups, Imunify360/Bitninja, prognostic server monitoring, and Wanguard anti-DDoS protection. But you’ll be right to worry while hosting your website with 2FreeHosting, irrespective of the plan you choose (Free/Premium). That’s because this provider just uses basic security features like hotlink protection, weekly website backups, and spam protection. With its mostly basic security measures, 2FreeHosting is miles behind Hostinger.5. Support
2FreeHosting’s non-existent support is no match for Hostinger’s superfast support
Hostinger creates a positive impression with its superfast 24/7 live chat, ticket, and email support though only logged-in users can use its email support. A quicker “Priority Support” is also on offer as a paid option. I found Hostinger’s live chat to be exceptionally fast and efficient. 2FreeHosting can be reached via an online form or multiple social media platforms. Existing customers can also use the Help Desk system from their control panel to seek support. Though I tried the online form to seek answers to some of my pre-sales questions, I received no reply. Hostinger provides several tutorials along with a blog and an extensive knowledge base to offer self-help resources. When you use 2FreeHosting, you will have access to an FAQ section, a forum, and a blog. However, it’s worth noting that the forum’s effectiveness is limited due to numerous irrelevant posts and threads. Additionally, the blog appears to be abandoned as there have been no posts made after the year 2015. Hostinger wins this round easily with its super fast support and adequate self-help options. And… the Champion Is Hostinger
Despite its tempting Free and Premium hosting plans, 2FreeHosting was no match for Hostinger. With much better value-added features along with superb performance, extensive and robust security, and lightning-fast support, Hostinger wins the competition easily to emerge as the champion. So, I recommend Hostinger. It also made its way to our list of the best web hosting services, which gives you yet another reason to host your website with it.Comparison Table
