Can you introduce Creativus Design to our audience?
Creativus Design was established in 2019 as a business consulting company focused on helping small to medium sized businesses establish an online presence through website development and digital media promotion. We’ve noticed that many companies lack access to quality business and marketing guidance and are often uncertain about which digital channels will best serve their needs. They’re frequently approached with offers to build a website for a specific price or find themselves confused by terms like SEO, PPC, social marketplaces, and other digital avenues. Our goal is to keep things straightforward.
Rather than diving into technical jargon, we start by getting to know who they are, what they do, and what unique value they bring. From there, we explore their business nature, analyze their competitors, and consider how their products or services fit within their market.
Only then do we craft a solution tailored to them—whether that’s a simple website, a more complex one, or digital marketing strategies to boost their visibility.
Typically, we decide between paid or organic strategies based on their budget and the specific goals they want to achieve.
Could you share the story behind the company? What inspired its founding, and how has it developed over time?
involved in business, and from the age of 14, I worked within the family business, learning a great deal about operations. Naturally, I gravitated toward the digital side—website development and digital marketing—because I’ve always had a passion for technology.
This passion, combined with a strong interest in marketing, enabled me to achieve good results for my family’s business, and I wanted to bring that impact to other industries as well. I built a team skilled in digital marketing and website development—the technical aspects—while I took on a role that’s somewhat like a business coach.
My approach involves connecting with clients to discuss their business challenges, identify areas for improvement, and uncover what may be holding them back. For instance, if they struggle with revenue generation or team motivation, we dive into those issues. From there, I develop a strategy for how a website or digital marketing can specifically help them, particularly on the digital marketing side.
With so many services out there—like SEO, PPC, social media management, and marketplaces—small business owners can feel overwhelmed. Additionally, many don’t realize that a website can serve as more than just a promotional tool; it can actively enhance their business operations.
For example, a site might include a careers page or a back-end portal where employees can access standard operating procedures. It’s not only about promotion; it’s about what will best serve the business’s needs. This broader view is something many developers overlook when creating websites. We work with small and micro businesses to create solutions that provide lasting value.
Our company has grown by evolving our service delivery and refining our team. In the beginning, we aimed to be an all-in-one company, covering IT, business consulting, and marketing consulting. While we still offer these services, they’re now packaged and delivered in a more focused way.
Today, we’re systematic in our approach, collaborating to ensure clients get maximum value with minimal time investment. This can be challenging, as business coaching, website design, and marketing are generally time-intensive processes. But through our refined process, we’re able to reduce revisions. By clarifying expectations during sales and consulting, we eliminate assumptions and create solutions tailored to each client’s specific needs.
What types of services do you provide?
When we first meet a client, we don’t come in with a fixed idea about delivering any specific service. Instead, our focus is on understanding how we can genuinely help them in the most practical way possible. To do this, we start by discussing their business challenges and any issues they’re facing. We work with a variety of businesses and are well-connected within the business community.
This means that even if we don’t offer the exact service a client needs, we can refer them to someone who does.
Our core services include business coaching and website development, covering everything from theme pages and custom sites to e-commerce platforms and CMS solutions. We also provide digital marketing services, such as search engine optimization, pay-per-click, social media marketing, and marketplace management.
Additionally, we offer branding services, including logo design, brand strategy, and visual identity. Many of these services come with add-ons that might not be standalone offerings. For example, if we’re developing a website and the client needs domain registration and hosting, we’ll include those as part of the website package if they don’t already have them.
What is the mission driving Creativus Design?
Creativus Design’s mission is straightforward: we enjoy tackling complex problems and delivering creative solutions. Our goal is to work closely with clients to achieve meaningful, tangible outcomes they can be proud of. We accomplish this through digital avenues like website design and digital marketing, simplifying complex challenges into clear, actionable steps.
This approach ensures clients not only see results but also understand both the implementation and the underlying strategy.
What distinguishes you from other companies or websites in the same field?
One of the things Creativus Design excels at, in my view, is creating truly customized solutions. Many agencies rely on standardized packages—like a five-page website for $500 or a 10-page site for $1,500—using a tiered approach.
We’ve moved away from that model to focus on providing the right solution for each client. With websites, reducing everything to a package or set features can limit what’s possible.
For example, we consider the client’s budget from the outset and are transparent about it. With a clear budget, we can prioritize the most essential elements. Some features can be added or scaled back depending on what’s most needed. For instance, if a client wants a blog but can’t afford full functionality, we can offer a creative alternative—such as a static page displaying a few fixed articles. We could update these manually or teach the client to do it themselves. While it may not be a dynamic blog, it still serves their purpose within their budget.
This flexible approach extends to digital marketing, especially SEO. Many competitors perform audits and deliver generic recommendations, aiming for 100% on-page optimization across the board. They apply a fixed strategy regardless of the client’s unique context.
But we recognize that factors like budget, the client’s capabilities, the website’s age, and even their network influence what’s possible. Even if full on-page optimization isn’t feasible, we find alternative ways to enhance performance.
Our commitment is to stay dynamic, be transparent, and work within the client’s budget, helping them expand that budget over time if possible. Rather than saying “no” due to financial constraints, we find solutions that work for them.
How do you see the future of your industry unfolding?
In the digital sphere, technology drives everything, shaping how our industry operates. Over the past two to three years, we’ve seen incredible advancements, especially with the rise of AI. Staying current with these developments is crucial for us. When AI tools emerged, they transformed our workflows and became integral to our R&D, influencing both our services and how we deliver them.
One clear impact we’ve noticed is the improvement in work quality thanks to AI tools. We can now offer clients higher-quality content, which has expanded our deliverables beyond what we previously offered. Tools like ChatGPT, Bard, and Claude have been valuable for website copy creation.
However, for SEO content, we still take a hands-on approach, using AI primarily for inspiration and research rather than direct content creation. Based on our experience, handwritten content performs best in the niches we serve. Still, we keep an eye on changes, as testing and adapting are key to staying competitive in digital.
Another industry shift involves the choice of tech stack. At Creativus Design, we’re stack agnostic but frequently use WordPress due to its open-source nature and customizability. Our team has extensive experience with theme and plugin development in WordPress.
Recently, however, there’s been some turmoil in the WordPress community, especially around its founder, Matt Mullenweg. For instance, there are allegations that Matt has pressured the hosting company WP Engine and made controversial changes to the plugin repository. For example, he has reportedly promoted his version of a tool over WP Engine’s Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), raising concerns about WordPress’s future direction.
To mitigate these risks, we’ve implemented contingencies. We maintain independent backups, plugin installations, and general management practices to stay unaffected by these industry challenges. Additionally, we avoid hosting providers facing these issues, like WP Engine, or others under large umbrella brands with known controversies.
Staying up-to-date with technology and industry shifts is vital to us, and we’re committed to adapting to these changes to protect our clients and deliver the best possible solutions.
