By being able to setup your own customizable streams (similar to HootSuite) you can track anything from keywords right through to brand mentions, and best of all the results filter into your stream in real-time so you can get in on the action and engage with users while they are online.
TweetDeck uses a set of columns, this means that you can easily monitor up to 4 streams, whether they are; your interactions, your timeline, activity or targeted keywords.
However, if you want to check how well you are performing and want to track clicks, impressions and other valuable metrics, unfortunately you are out of luck. The only way you’ll be able to track information like this is by using a URL shortening service such as Bit.ly.

There are a few reasons why TweetDeck gets a perfect usability score and the first is the fact that TweetDeck offers their program on a desktop app, a web-based app, and recently also a Google Chrome app. This means that anything you do on one app will synchronize across to the rest, so convenient!
In the same settings tab, there’s also an option to change to width of each column, this allows you to display more columns whilst preserving your space. However, if you don’t want to display more columns you can use the Column Navigator dropdown at the top, to easily switch between any columns you have created.
