Templates & Designs
Your Standard Set of Templates
Template Selection – A fair amount of templates that are built for the basic user. Nothing special here.
Customization – An arena that is built for good customization, from the easy drag-and-drop system that can help get things moved to where you want them, right through to the colour palette and font choices
Multimedia – Sitey doesn’t really offer much in the way of multimedia with their themes so if you are a budding artist or a photographer looking to show off your work, then you may want to take a look at some other builders.
Good Basic Editor That Anyone Can Use
The Sitey editor is as easy as they come to learn and pick-up. The navigation is positioned along the top of your design interface with simple one-click actions to bring up features and styles to add to your page.
Moving elements around the screen couldnt be an easier with drag-and-drop tools at the ready, which makes for an overall pleasant experience when using Sitey to build your new website.
Basic Features That Will do The Job
Firstly, I wouldn’t expect the features offered by Sitey to really give you that wow-factor, but the features they do offer will help you get what you want from the site you are building. You can add social media buttons, integrate eCommerce, change your favicon and customise the look of the template you have chosen.
The unfortunate part is that most of the features only come as part of the paid for packages, which aren’t as pricey as some web builders but don’t fall into that excellent value bracket either. Sitey sits somewhere in-between.
Reasonable Prices With Discounts Available
We all like a discount with purchases, so that’s what Sitey has offered to its potential customers if they take out yearly subscriptions with their service. The main issue is if you remove the discount and decide to do a rolling month term, the price will be expensive so it pays to go for long term plans.
They currently offer 3 paid packages with the Starter plan being the cheapest at £9.95 (or £6.95 if you pay for 2 years). The only issue I can see with the Starter is that it doesn’t offer much in terms of features, so to get SEO Tools, mobile sites and priority support you will need to pay for the Pro or eCommerce plans which can go up to as much as £23.95 per month.
What they do offer though which is good to see for any customer, is a 30-day money back guarantee. So if you feel the builder isn’t good value for money you can activate this benefit.
24/7 Help but Lacking Support Options
When we delve into the support options its a bit of a mixed bag for me because firstly it’s not 100% clear on where you need to go if you run into a problem (there is no live chat that pops up, or “Support” Label.
Once you do manage to locate the ‘?’ at the top of the page you will be taken to a new interface where you can ask questions, search through knowledge bases and fill out a contact form for billing, tech and sales support.
Aside from an FAQ section, if you want to get an answer to a specific query you won’t find any name, direct numbers or email addresses that you can shoot across a message to. For me this doesn’t fill me with great confidence as its good to have direct contacts and names to give it that personal touch and not make it look so robotic, which it unfortunately does.

- easy to build
- said it was $7.99 and out of the blue its now $13.91
- charged me once on the 3rd then again on the 19th
- be very wary and keep a close eye on their billing
Oh the other thing that was disappointing was the contact form that they offer...your better to go to woofoo or a form builder.
